Hello, I am a lucky 41 year old mamma of 2 year old twins, as well as a 19 and 22 year old, both awesome adults now living on their own in the world, whom I raised on my own. The year my youngest graduated high school, I was surprised with twins…the result of trying a different method of birth control that actually made me hyperovulate…and bam twinsies!! My twins are awesome, and amazing, and so smart, and fun, but Im not always awesome for them unfortunately, I struggle with mental health and thru life working has been my balance point and my peace sometimes even.  Unfortunately, having twins, I pay $80 per day for daycare to be able to go to work…and Im a waitress, so I make less than minimum wage, and my tips can be very unpredictable and shifts sure are short these days…companies don’t wanna pay more. In addition to lower paychecks because of under minimum wage pay, due to a car I financed years ago which the engine went out on and I surrendered the vehicle, now my paychecks are garnished for the unpaid $3000 balance. Now the question I would want to know if a mom was asking for money…. As far as my twin’s father. Yes, he is in the picture. We have a very decent relationship as far as being parents and he fully supports the twins 1000%, aside from daycare, but pays all the main bills, housing costs and groceries etc., he has also been the one too constantly save me in some different situations over the years financially. And I am unfortunately a screw up by trade it seems. I am in the situation I am in today because of my own mistakes.  I struggled to keep up with my own bill on a Payday loan which has fallen behind, I also have financed a vehicle with, him as the co signer. I have not been honest with him about my ability to keep up with the payment.  I am so ashamed to be in the situation I am in and trying to do anything possible I can in my power to avoid this falling on him again…and I guess me having to admit again that I cant keep up. I am $400 behind in a car payment, my insurance has been cancelled, I also have an unpaid speeding ticket…trying to get to the daycare in time before I got charged more money ironically. My Payday loan is 3 payments behind which is only $300, but I’m finding myself in a position where I’m feeling helpless and it is so scary.  And I don’t know what to do. So I have decided to be as raw and open as possible. And if you read this I just wanna say thank you for getting all the way through it. I tend to overcompensate when I am nervous. And if you can, you are amazing. You are an amazing person who I pray will get tenfold in return karma, I truly believe that the good people are what make this world go round. I will also add a side note in, through all of the things that I do have going on, I am currently trying to develop a nonprofit fund and program to help families like mine in my state to pay for daycare costs so that individual people can continue to get ahead in their lives as parents, regardless of their children’s other parents, like in this case where we are not married.
